Officers arrived at the 300 block of West 22nd Street around 12:45 a.m. Friday for a report of a shooting victim, according to the City of Chester Police Department.
There, they discovered a gunshot wounded man who claimed the gunfire rang out near a riverfront off Norris Street and there may be a second victim in the area, authorities said.
Once investigators got to Norris Street, they found a second victim with a gunshot wound to their upper torso, police said.
The second victim, later identified as 28-year-old Marquise Holmes, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
Meanwhile, the first shooting victim was taken to Crozer Chester Medical Center for treatment, authorities said.
He is listed in good condition.
There have been no arrests in connection with the shooting, which police say was not a random act of violence.
